Supreme Court seeks Centre's affidavit on the library's relocation
On Monday, Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva told the Centre that its bare assurances about space earmarked for the Central Secretariat Library are not enough, and ordered a detailed affidavit setting out the actual layout of the proposed new premises. The affidavit must say whether the new premises can hold the entire collection, including nearly two lakh books still packed in cartons at R.K. Puram. (LawBeat)
